Sports & PE Games (K-2nd)

In this program, we will play some of the best sports and PE games ever invented. We will choose from knockout, extreme kickball, handball, capture the flag, modified dodgeball, ultimate frisbee, floor hockey, soccer and more. We will also take suggestions from children to make sure the fun never ends! Each day, our goal is to motivate each player to compete with high effort and a positive attitude towards self and others. We hope you can join us!

Hungry Hungry Science (K-6th)

Need some science to sink your teeth into? In Hungry Hungry Science we will explore different scientific concepts using food as our main vehicle for experimentation. We will not only use ingredients to explain different ideas through simple recipes, but make edible experiments as well to learn about reactions, acids & basis, biology, nutrition and more! If you haven’t had your fill of science fun, come fill your bellies in Hungry Hungry Science.

Drawsters (K-6th)

Learn to draw by using recognizable shapes and lines to develop unique one of a kind artwork. After the initial instruction is finished, students will be further encouraged to make their art their own by adding personal touches through further drawing techniques and rendering. Students study a variety of different artists and artists styles while using a variety of drawing tools (and sometimes paint).

WEDNESDAYS

Cooking: Savory & Sweets (K-6th)

Just like the name suggests! Each day will feature a sweet treat that will go perfectly with dinner or one savory dish that is sure to become a family favorite! We'll work on learning new baking skills like creaming, whisking, and melting. And cooking skills such as stewing, stir-frying, and sautéing.

Ultimate Dance Fitness (K-6th)

Kids in Motion students will dance, jump, run, and play the whole hour! Kids follow along with the teacher to songs and dances, play games that include limbo sticks, balloons, freeze dance, dancing 4 corners, dancing hot potato, follow the leader, and more! This is a dance fitness class using kid friendly songs, choreography, and dance games. This class helps children make friends, get active after school, and love dance fitness!

Real World Robotics (3rd-6th)

In Snapology's Real World Robotics class, students interested in technology will create robotic models inspired by real life robotic technologies. Students will learn about gear ratio, sensors, simple machines, and programming as they build alarm devices, earthquake detectors, robotic arms, and much more. Your child will have a blast exploring the world of robotic technologies as they build, learn, and play.

Throughout the program, we'll explore:

- Simple Machines: Whether learning about pulleys while creating robotic arms, or wheels and axles as they create their very own pull robots, students will see simple machines in action.

- Axles, Gears, and Motors: Students will actively experiment with these components to create their robots, while facilitating a deeper understanding of mechanics.

- Programming Skills: Whether making their build respond to motion and tilt sensors, adding loops, or creating fun sounds, children will learn valuable programming skills in an easy to use, drag and drop programming format.

- Teamwork/Partner Skills: Small groups and peer partners are key components of Snapology's approach. We encourage the development of healthy, respectful collaborations between students through group planning, sharing of materials, and fun partner experiences.
